Cricket is an interesting game and it’s become more interesting in series tournaments. A team is playing well and scored well but can’t qualify due to Point table and Net Run Rate.
Pre decide point such as 1 point or2 point etc and cricket team earn point with each winning match but some time a confession occur with two team equal point.
The concept of Net Run Rate in cricket occurs in equal point calculation in series tournament. Cricket Net rate calculation is simple but gets confusion in consideration of overs played.
The few condition of cricket match:
1: Team A played first, all out and lost match: consider whole inning over.
2: Team A played first all inning and lost match: consider whole inning over.
3: Team A played first and all out but win match: consider whole inning over.
Steps to calculate Net Run Rate:
Team A net run rate = Team A run rate – Team B run rate
Team B net run rate = Team B run rate – Team A run rate
Example:
Total inning overs: 20
Team A: scored: 120/20 Over = 6 Run per over ( Run Rate of Team A)
Team B: scored: 122/18 Over = 6.78 Run per over ( Run Rate of Team B)
NRR of Team A = RR of Team A – RR of Team B = (-) 0.78
NRR of Team A = RR of Team B – RR of Team A = (+) 0.78
