POP:  Point Of Purchase

POS: Point Of Sales

POSM: Point of Sales Materials 

POP and POS are the same place/point (Two side of the coin) in a retail environment. POP is in consumer point of view while POS is in Sellers point of view.

POP in term of retail environment, a specific point where consumer purchase. In term of super market, the cash counter, market self would be POP.

POSM is the advertisement materials that are used to communicate the brand and their message to consumer at POP/POS point. Its a part of BTL.

POSM examples are poster, dangler dummy pack, shelf branding, leaflet etc.
